Lifes not that bad, but I'm gonna bitch about it anyways....
The bat flip is on the move.

I wondered what happened to Bret Boone. Not to long a go, he was in the top 3 in the MVP voting. Now, he is designated for assignment giving the team 10 days to cut, or trade him. The team called up a Jose Lopez, a 21-year-old second basemen, to take his place. They say that it's not a move for the future, but a means "To salvage the season". Yeah, right. Come on, Boone is 36. He's been a 12 year vet, and you mean to tell me that calling up a 21-year-old is not a move for the future after you're sit said vet. Yeah...Right.

The question that I have is, if you were a GM, would you take Boone. I would. He has a good bat and he a veteran. He's been in the big game situations and knows how to get it done. He wants to play everyday, but I think the he would be better backing up someone on a contending team.

All and all he's a good player and I would like to see him back with the Braves. But his "bat flip" will end up somewhere.

mada, you have to ask why Boone's production has fallen so fast .. is it because of age? .. is because of no help from both of the big free agents they signed? .. or is it because he is off the juice? I hope it just a combination of the first 2. I still think some contending team will take a chance with him.
