Lifes not that bad, but I'm gonna bitch about it anyways....
If I were a fan of boxing, I would have watched the fight last night between Mike Tyson and Kevin McBride(need I remind that this was the guy that was going to be "Gutted like fish"). If i were a fan a boxing, I would know a little bit about the fighter that Tyson fought last night. If I were a fan of boxing, I would almost feel sorry for Mike Tyson after he lost....again. With all this being said I'm A) Not a fan of boxing and Don't feel sorry of Tyson one bit. Why? Because all his problems are a result of his own doing.

Is this all that the sport has to offer now? A fighter that was way out of his prime buy the age of 30 and hasn't won a fight in 4 years(I think). But the sport still persits on wrapping its paws around the circus that he presents. Why? The sport is dying and in the heavyweight divsion, where there really isn't any fighter that people can fall in love with or hate just as much. Sure, the divison has some talented fighters, but no stars that sell pu interest back into the sport. Boxing tries to get behind Tyson because, just like the majority of us that care, want to see him beat the crap out of some poor tard. Not only that, people want to know more about him. He's a news worthy enigma without a doubt and the majority wants to rally around him, but at the end of the day, he just can't live up to the expectations anymore proving the minority right.

Tyson was what the sport had left I guess. The media and the sports insiders had Tyson to cream this guy, and somehow, return to his once dominant form of way back when. Nope didn't happen. He ended up quitting and it seems that this is(should be)his last hurrah. Funny, why didn't he quit after getting his ass handed to him on a silver platter served with tea and crumpets by Lennox Lewis? Then this whole "Fighting to earn money because I'm in debt" thing happens and now he has the motivation to fight again. Then he lost again saying he "doesn't want to disrespect the sport that he loves, so he's going to move on".

Yes, it is time to move one. Make your money elsewhere. Take care of the children because all this isn't worth the pain, blues, and embarrasment.
