Yeah, I decided to come out of hibernation
I've been sitting watching the NBA playoffs and enjoying every moment of which. From Steve Nash's return to Dallas, Reggie Millers spectacular performances and final NBA game. Dwayne Wade truly turning into the player of the future and he will be phenomenal. Now where down to the finals. Pistons vs. Spurs. Should be a good series because these teams are som evenly matched it's crazy, but the one thing I've been hearing for the last few days is "Is this series good for the NBA?"
Is it good for the NBA? I think so, but there are some critics and sports writers out there that beg to differ. Me peronally, I want to see the match-ups like, Duncan vs. Wallace. Hamilton vs. Ginobili. Billups vs. Parker. I mean there are some intruging match-ups. But, the general consensus is, "There's no real star power in this series. " Now didn't the Pistons prove last year that you didn't need "stars" to win. And another thing, aren't players like Billups, Hamilton, Rasheed and Ben Wallace, not good enough for anyone. I mean all these guys do is win.. and they get criticized for it. What a shame that you have to have that one star on your team to win championships. The team concept just wasn't cutting it.
Same with the Spurs. Tim Duncan, arguably the best big-man in the NBA. Manu Ginobili, who is a whirlwind on the court. Tony Parker, and excellent floor general. Plus they have "Mr Clutch" himself, "Big-shot" Robert Horry. The players are there, but most people won't care because there's no Shaq, Kobe, Labron, T-Mac, Nash, Iverson, or any other one-man show on the court. Regardless of who is on the court, I now I'll tune in because the two best "TEAMS" are playing for the championship and no matter who wins, I know I'll be entertained.
