Well, well, well. Look who is at the top of the AP poll tied with the Oklahoma Sooners. It's the Auburn tigers. The team that was supposed to win it all last year by using a weak Penn State victory in a bowl game almost two years ago, to shoot them straight into the BCS picture. I never thought in a million years that they would play for a BCS bowl game, let alone, play for a possible national championship. With a win over Georgia they might just do that. (Pending if they run the table and Oklahoma or USC fall down a few notchs).
The possibility of Auburn being national champions is sure to make the crimson tide fans sick. Well, I'm not an Alabama fan, nor am I an Auburn fan, but I still support the teams and the players. Both teams have played hard, but Alabama has had bad breaks. I'm not saying that if Brody Croyle was still healthy they would be in the top ten also, I'm just saying that Auburn has had their players amped for this. When Alabama was scrambling to find a replacement coach, the Tigers have stuck with the system and worked through the bumps and bruises.
I think whatever Auburn gets in the post season is what they deserve and I hope they make it to the BCS championship. They still have to play Alabama and beat whoever they play in the SEC championship, and that is no easy task. Still, if they play they way that they have been playing I think they can pull it of. So congratulations Auburn, you guys deserve it.
