I was watching TV earlier and was flipping channels when I came across a headline stating that Brad Pitt was seeking to legaly adopt the children of Angelina Jolie changing their names to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt.

From MSN. Com

"We are confirming that Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children," the statement said. "No further comment is being made."

Rumors of an off-screen relationship between the stars of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" have been circulating for a year. Pitt accompanied Jolie to Ethiopia in July to pick up Zahara, now about 10 months old.

He and actress Jennifer Aniston announced their separation in January, and Aniston filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce became final in October.

Pitt, 41, has denied Jolie, 30, was behind the split.

Ok...ok....ok. .. Let me get this straight. The guy is caught on several occassions being "close" to Jolie while filming their movie. A few months before the movie debuts, Pitt and Aniston split, after the movie is released we see Pitt and Jolie together all over the place, and now Pitt is looking into adopting her children. Coincidence???? Yeah....right. Come on Brad, who are you trying to fool here kid?

All I know is, instead of spending Thanksgiving at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen here in the good ole US of A, handing out dinner to poor Americans, they spent it delivering supplies in some Third-World hellhole where it'll be divided a hundred ways between rival warlords, she had to wear a burka and he had to miss the football games. I wonder if Brad regrets it yet.

Thing that bothers me is, these people are millionaires; they could have taken a trip over there at any whim. But, no, to the Hollyweird fruit and nut bars, the poor in some foreign country are much more important than the poor here at home, no matter that it was a holiday for us.

Yeah, it's like, We're rich/hip/hot hollywood and we can do anything we want, so instead of doing what we are supposed to do, were going to do something completely different and do what we want, because no one really expects anything from us.

What a load of crap.

I just think it's weird that he's adopting before they get married. I would think that would come first but I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Yes, kinda putting the cart before the horse, as it were. My fear is the Brangelina coupling will last about as long as a Britney marriage or, worse yet, Brad's last marriage.

Then how will the children be named? After the next Hollywood schmuck to come along and bed Angelina?

Boy, I feel like this whole thing is a timebomb just waiting to go off. I figure in another year, the discussion of what's going to happen to the children after the split will probably drive everyone nuts while the couple known as Brangelina will probably hear a collection of I told you so's from everyone close to them.

My question really is: "why does anyone *really* care"?  I know I don't.  I don't care about what they do with their lives or their money anymore than I care what my next door neighbor does.  If they aren't doing anything illegal, why should I care?  So what if they chose to go to some other country instead of celebrate Thanksgiving.  Sure, they could have helped homeless here, but who are we to say what they do with their lives or their money?
